We get a lot of calls asking us to decipher serial numbers on saddles. Of course we're always glad to talk to our customers, but we thought it would be helpful to give you the information that will help you understand what the numbers mean. We'll start with Circle Y and add a few other manufacturers in the coming weeks.
Circle Y Numbering Scheme
Here’s an example of a serial number that is located on a plate under the jockey on the mounting side of the saddle : 1655-1601-05 The first four digits are the model number.
